Designed by Dieter Rams, Hans Gugelot (HfG Ulm)
1958-1961
With the SK2/2 model, the station is now indicated by a scale pointer (no longer by the red dot on the dial). This scale pointer is moved by rotating the dial, via a 3:1 reduction gear built into the shaft of the rotary capacitor. The planetary gear set with rolling elements acts like an adjustable slip clutch, thus preventing mechanical overload of the dial at the beginning and end stops of the rotary capacitor.
The scale is completely white with a small brown symbol, below which is an internally illuminated operating indicator (scale lamp 10 V, 0.2 A).
