Description from the seller

Junghans fireplace clock
History
The year 1861 marked the beginning of the factory's establishment. Erhard Junghans, together with his brother-in-law Jakob Zeller – Tobler, founded this enterprise in the town of Schramberg, a small town in the Black Forest.
Initially, precision, specializing in the production of small watch parts, quickly became synonymous with the highest quality. In 1866, the first watches designed and created by their own watchmakers were produced.
In 1875, after the premature death of his father, Arthur Junghans took over the company. As a watchmaker by profession, he immediately became interested in technological innovations during his travels to America. In this way, various innovations were introduced into the company, with Arthur Junghans himself being the designer and originator of these ideas. Before the turn of the century, many machines and automata were created that produced parts of the highest quality.
In 1890, the brand's identifying mark featuring a star with 8 rays was introduced.
A complete, signed original mechanism equipped with a single hammer.
It strikes halves and multiples of full hours on a spiral gong. The clock mechanism has been cleaned, adjusted, and lubricated with a special clock oil.
The original instructions are made with a nice motif.
Original pendulum, a copy of a mercury one.

The clock elements have been professionally conserved with a special marble fluid. The case has been professionally restored.
Dimensions of the clock.
Total height: 41 cm
Length: 31 cm
Depth: 14 cm
