◎ This item will be shipped from Japan.
This is a traditional Japanese bronze vase produced in the Takaoka region of Toyama Prefecture, an area renowned for its bronze craftsmanship for over 400 years. The vase is made of solid bronze and dates back to the Showa period (1926–1989).
It features a distinctive hexagonal “Daruma” shape, and its surface is adorned with an intricate “Tsuru-ji Shibori” (crane pattern) design. The beautifully aged multicolored bronze patina, blending deep blue, green, and copper tones, enhances the elegance and depth of this exquisite piece.
This vase is a perfect fusion of traditional Japanese aesthetics and Takaoka’s advanced casting techniques. It is also believed that copper ions help fresh flowers last longer, making it both beautiful and practical.
The vase comes with its original wooden storage box (tomobako).
【Symbolic Meaning of the Crane (Tsuru)】
The crane is one of the most cherished motifs in Japanese art and culture, symbolizing:
Longevity and Good Fortune – The crane is said to live for a thousand years and represents long life.
Peace, Fidelity, and Harmony – Because cranes are believed to mate for life, they are a strong symbol of marital harmony, loyalty, and peace.
This vase is not only a refined decorative object but also an auspicious item believed to bring good fortune and peace into the home.
