Antonio Sciacca presents Capo D'accusa Omicidio, an original collage artwork from 2019, measuring 50 by 70 cm, signed by hand and produced in Italy as part of the 2010-2020 period, sold by Galleria.
Description from the seller
I am a murderer Eva by Antonio Sciacca.
Technique: Collage and graphic interventions
Dimensions: 50x70 cm, 'Chief of Murder Charge' is an epochal work by Master Antonio Sciacca, part of his renowned series inspired by Diabolik. Created with a complex technique of collage and graphic interventions, the piece reconstructs comic strips and panels, focusing on Diabolik's enigmatic face and narrative fragments that evoke his mystery.
This work is a bold cultural dialogue, recognized and published in volume 1 'L'arte incontra l'arte' (page 93), as a testament to its critical value. Born from a collaboration between Sciacca and critic Vittorio Sgarbi to honor Italian comics, this series, titled 'Il crimine non ha confini', was created for the release of the new Diabolik film by the Manetti Bros. It then carried out a touring exhibition across Italian cinemas, expanding its resonance.
Sciacca, inspired by Nouveau Réalisme (Mimmo Rotella) and Pop Art (Roy Lichtenstein), develops a unique technique. Instead of altering or enlarging images, he recomposes them into a layered and three-dimensional collage, enriched with personal graphic interventions. This process grants the comic strips a new sculptural form and profound meaning, offering a sophisticated and original homage to popular culture and sequential art. "Vite al Margine" demonstrates Sciacca's ability to engage with art history to create contemporary languages of great impact and value.
