Description from the seller
Hollow silver cross with wide, flared arms, decorated with granules rosettes. The centre set with an oval amethyst cabochon framed by a fine filigree granules pattern. Loop at the top for suspension, also decorated with granules. Exquisite.
Size: 4.2 cm L (including loop) - 1 5/8 inch
Material: Silver and amethyst, total weight= 5.2 grms
Culture: Byzantine c. 11th Century A.D.
Condition: Intact
Provenance: ex. London Gentleman’s collection, acquired prior to 2000.
The seller guarantees that this item has been legally acquired & will be legally exported, related documents seen by Catawiki.
This item do not need an export licence within the EU.
