Pair of hand-painted enamel on metal plates from Belgium, dated 1910-1920, each about 26 cm in diameter, pink with gilded borders, in fair condition with heavy wear and possible minor parts missing.
Description from the seller
A pair of fully hand-painted enamel plates, early 20th century, Belgium.
Both pieces are decorated with fine rural landscapes: one plate depicting a winter cottage scene with figures on a frozen lake, and the other showing a detailed fishing village. The painting is executed with a very high level of craftsmanship and rich detailing, including gilded borders.
The plates are in good antique condition for their age. Natural small craquelure is present, and one plate has a minor chip on the back, clearly visible in the photos. These enamel plates of such quality are relatively rare and sought after by collectors.
They will be packed with the utmost care and shipped with a tracked postal service.
