Description from the seller
Irène Jonas (1957) artist
The endless summer
There is in childhood summers a certain timeless je ne sais quoi. On this small beach in southern Finistère, where friends, cousins, nieces, nephews, and grandchildren gather every year, nothing hampers the freedom of movement. The beach offers an unlimited playground, and only the landscapes and activities change with the tides. This pleasantly repetitive time — beach, swimming, snack — gives a sense of eternity; summer cannot end... Summer is endless.
Format: 30 x 45
Black and white prints enhanced with oil painting techniques.
Original painted print (unique copy)
