Saxe porcelain coffee service produced for the French market, imported and marketed in France by Bourgeois Gara-Pichard & Cie. stores in Paris. Circa 1920.
The decor of these pieces alternates between pearlized and grainy effects, separated by silver lines that highlight the stylized geometric shape of each piece.
This service is composed of:
- 1 coffee maker measuring 20.2 cm high (lid on), 16.8 cm high (lid off), and 23.7 cm wide between the ends of the handle and the spout.
- 1 milk pot measuring 11 cm high, and 13.7 cm between the ends of the handle and the spout.
- 9 measuring cups, each 8.8 cm in diameter at the rim and 5 cm high.
- 9 saucers, each measuring 13.3 cm in diameter.
The set is in excellent condition, as evidenced by the photos.
Note, however, the presence of a small defect at the neck of the coffee maker, and a tiny wear of the silvering on the edge of a saucer, as shown in the photos.
