Painter Domenico Selo (Seloski) 1924-1981: of Russian origin, Seloski was his surname changed in the early years of the century by his father and later adopted by the painter himself. He lived in Livorno, where he directed an art gallery, and was known throughout Italy. His first solo exhibition was in 1959 in Paris. His works are unique, representing cities, seascapes, figurative art, and landscapes, with nocturnal scenes characterized by dark tones and shadows.
