Description from the seller
Lagavulin 9 Years Old stands as the representative of House Lannister, a family that—through dubious schemes, political intrigues, and fierce ambition—maintains its unwavering determination to fight for The Iron Throne.
Lagavulin embodies this strength and ferocity, yet also reveals noble and seductive qualities that mirror the essence of House Lannister. This 9-year-old expression was created specifically for the series and is bottled at 46% ABV.
Crafted solely from malted Scottish barley and dried over peat flames to enhance its smoky profile, the whisky is matured entirely in fresh first-fill bourbon casks, giving it its beautiful golden-blonde colour. The aroma is unmistakably Lagavulin, with sweet smoke bursting from the glass and offering a livelier, more maritime character than many of the distillery’s other expressions. The palate opens with sweet, smoky notes of caramelised banana, toasted marshmallow, and vanilla, gradually transitioning into lightly dry menthol and salted caramel on the finish. Truly exceptional quality. The bottle and accompanying tube are, of course, adorned with the iconic lion of House Lannister.
