2003 Chateau Gruaud Larose - Saint-Julien 2ème Grand Cru Classé - 1 Magnum (1.5L)

2003 Chateau Gruaud Larose Grand Cru Classe Saint-Julien 1500 ml. 13,% France. Château Gruaud Larose, a Second Growth Grand Cru Classé, is one of the most prestigious estates in the Saint-Julien appellation of Bordeaux. Its name derives from its former owners, Messrs. Gruaud and Larose, who recognized the exceptional quality of its wines as early as the 18th century. The 82-hectare estate lies on one of the Médoc's finest terroirs – deep gravel soils over a limestone subsoil, which impart structure and longevity to the wines. The grape varieties are a classic blend: 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, and 10% Cabernet Franc. This combination gives the wines their characteristic style – powerful yet with unmistakable elegance. Aromas of blackcurrant, cedar, tobacco, and delicate spices unfold in the glass, accompanied by silky tannins and a lingering freshness. Since 1997, the estate has been part of the Merlaut Group, which has invested in modern cellar technology and sustainable viticulture. The grapes are hand-harvested and fermented in stainless steel tanks before the wine matures for 18 to 20 months in French oak barrels (50% new). Insured shipping wit DHL.
