Description from the seller
Offered here is a detailed 1:100 scale display model of the Fairchild Republic A-10 Thunderbolt II, widely known as the “Warthog”. This model represents one of the most iconic close-air-support aircraft of the modern era, recognisable by its straight wings, heavy weapon pylons and the distinctive nose profile designed around the GAU-8 Avenger cannon.
The model is mounted on a solid display stand and features a full weapons loadout, including rockets, bombs and missiles that reflect the typical ground-attack role of the A-10. Panel line detailing, paintwork and markings are neatly applied but of unoriginal origin. The cockpit canopy is clear and shows internal detail, giving the aircraft a realistic appearance.
Condition is very good, with clean paint, well-placed decals and no visible missing parts. The aircraft presents itself nicely and is suitable for collectors of modern military aircraft or smaller scale diecast and display models. Estimated age of the piece is between ten and twenty years, and it has remained in excellent display condition for its age.
The A-10 belongs to the late Cold War and modern era, entering service in the late 1970s and continuing to operate to this day. Its long service life and distinctive design make it a popular model among aviation collectors.
