Description from the seller

Large richly decorated crucifix – Zamac alloy – 20th century – with floral engravings

Beautiful and prominently large crucifix in Zamac alloy (zinc-aluminum), executed in a highly decorative and high-quality style. The entire cross features deeply engraved floral motifs, elegant vine decorations, and classic clover-shaped ends. The richly designed shell foot in baroque style makes the piece particularly stately.

The Christ figure is carefully modeled, with very refined anatomical details and pronounced dynamism in posture and folds.
The beautifully detailed back side also features extensive engravings and ornamentation — so much so that the cross can even be presented upside down or placed in front of a mirror to keep both sides visible.

This exceptional double-sided detailing demonstrates strong craftsmanship and an extraordinary eye for detail. For this reason, it can be considered a rare reliquary cross within its category.
