Description from the seller
Allen Iverson signed replica 76’ers jersey. Beautiful item with hologram and COA from Beckett. 76’ers retro jersey Philadelphia including statistics.
His mother was 15 years old when he was born, and his father left her very early. He played basketball at Georgetown University. Iverson was first drafted in 1996 by the Philadelphia 76ers. He played there for ten years. He wore number 3. Iverson was especially known for his speed, his lay-ups, and his crossovers. In his first season, he was voted Rookie of the Year (1996-97), and in 2001, he was chosen as the NBA's Most Valuable Player (MVP). Additionally, he started in seven consecutive All-Star Games (2000-2006), being named MVP twice (2001 and 2005), and he also played for the United States national team. The absolute highlight of his career was the NBA Finals against the Los Angeles Lakers in 2001, where he managed to break the Lakers' winning streak in one game. He was also named MVP of the year.
In January 2007, he started playing for the Denver Nuggets. He moved there because he wanted a different adventure, as he himself said, but mainly to have a chance to win an NBA title. Then, in November 2008, he went to the Detroit Pistons. He was traded for Chauncey Billups, Antonio McDyess, and Cheikh Samb. In September 2009, he signed a one-year contract with the Memphis Grizzlies. After two months, he returned for a season to the Sixers.
On October 26, 2010, Yahoo! Sport reported that Iverson agreed to a two-year contract worth $4 million net per year with the Turkish basketball club Beşiktaş JK. The club announced the signing during a press conference in New York on October 29, 2010. Iverson made his debut for Beşiktaş on November 16, 2010, during a Eurocup match against the Serbian team Hemofarm. Iverson scored 15 points in 23 minutes.
In August 2013, Iverson ended his playing career.
