The SIKHOTE ALIN meteorite is an octahedrite siderite classified as II AB.
She fell on February 12, 1947, at 10:38 am in the depths of Russia, in the territories.
Maritime of eastern Siberia. The largest fragment (1700 kg) is displayed at the Fersman Museum in Moscow.
The proposed raw fragment has undergone a violent deformation visible in the form of vanishing lines and a twisting of the metal at the edge.
This fragment weighs 473 grams and measures 97x73x28 mm.
Composition: 93% Fe, 5.9% Ni, 0.42% Co, 0.46% P, 0.28% S
