A lovely rare large antique Mirror-black gilded Chinese vase of imperial quality vase with a central decoration of a Fenghuang sitting on a branch representing peace, prosperity and good luck. The Fenghuang is flanked by a butterfly, on the other side there is an intricately painted pheasant. The floral decoration is composed of magnolia and peonies, which together comprise a visual pun for the auspicious phrase yutang fugui (‘wealth and rank in the Jade Hall), on the sides there are Shou marks symbolizing longevity. On the bottom a high rised foot with the six character mark of the Kangxi Emperor. Extremely high quality! Height: 35 cm. Condition: The object is in overall good condition, the top with a small hairline, otherwise no damages and no restorations except for some minimal wear to the gold paint, as is normal with this kind of goldleaf paint due tot the age of the vase and wear consistent with age to the standing ring. The condition is carefully checked with strong UV-light and bright translucent white light. Shipping method: This lot will be securely packed and shipped with insurance, without wooden stand. *small cup is not included with the listing and i purely to better demonstrate size
