Beautiful, colorful face of houses with backyards in winter light by Jelle Hoogstra.

Mixed technique on paper, signed and dated ('86) on the left side of the work.
In good condition. At the bottom, there is a horizontal crease, and in the middle at the bottom, there is a small tear in the sheet (see photos). These are easily concealed with a passepartout.

The Frisian artist Jelle Hoogstra (1924-2003) began his art education at the age of eighteen in 1942 at the 'kunst-oefening' academy in Arnhem. Unfortunately, due to the wartime situation, he was unable to complete his studies, but immediately after the liberation, he enrolled at the Academy of Visual Arts in Rotterdam and was able to finish his studies there.
