Von Wright brothers & Bror Halberg - 4 lithographic plates with common eider - 1917-1929

4 fantastic, large-format lithographic plates by the Von Wright brothers and Bror Halberg, featuring common eider (Somateria mollissima). A great set with both horizontal and vertical painted plates, and a great depiction of habitat - many options for interesting framing and creative mounting /placing on the wall.

These antique prints are remarkable works of art and, in my opinion, among the finest bird illustrations ever produced. Their generous size, antique colouring, and well-preserved paper make them ideal for framing - beautifully connecting natural history, art, and the past.

The condition is very good, considering they were printed in Stockholm between 1917 and 1929. No major issues, and all perfect for framing. Please review the photos carefully for details on the condition of each plate.
