Description from the seller

This is a classic French Art Deco table lamp dating from the 1930s. The design beautifully captures the era's fascination with exoticism and entertainment, specifically the Circus theme. The piece features a stylized elephant figure standing dramatically on its hind legs, seemingly balancing, resting on an elegant stepped marble base.

Figurine: The central piece is a captivating sculpture of an circus elephant standing on its back legs, trunk raised. The piece is made of Spelter (Régule) with a beautiful, rich dark patina and subtle brass-tone accents on the legs and trunk, highlighting the stylized Art Deco lines.

Shade (Globe): The globe is made of Opaline Glass. It is a charming soft pink color with distinct horizontal bands in gold or gilded enamel, which further emphasizes the elegant, geometric style of the period.

Base: The elephant and glass sphere are mounted on a solid, rectangular base of high-quality Black Marble. The stepped edge adds to its sophisticated look.

Condition: Good working condition - used with small signs of ageing, consistent with its age. Please look at all pictures in order to make a informed decision, the pictures are part of the description.
