Description from the seller

Beautiful late-Victorian Anglo-Japanese style brooch in gilded silver.

This rare brooch from around 1880–1890 is made in the Anglo-Japonesque style, recognizable by the fine engravings of a bird and grape cluster, and the decorative geometric edges. The brooch is constructed in relief with a hollow repoussee structure and a smooth back plate.

The closure is a classic C-closure.
The brooch shows clear signs of age appropriate to its age, including a small opening and dents on the edges and around the beads.
In the circle motif with the bird, there are some light indentations. This does not detract from the overall, but confirms that it is an authentic late Victorian piece.

The brooch has not been inspected but has been professionally tested and is made of full silver (gold-plated).

Details:

- Material: silver, gold-plated
- Technique: repoussee with backplate
- Closure: C-closure
- Dimensions: 3.9 cm wide
2.7 cm high
Tested: silver (not marked)

All jewelry is carefully packed in a jewelry box and shipped with Track and Trace.
