The painting depicts a Venetian Scene where fishermen are mooring their boat as others gather mussels or faggots at the waters edge all under a beautiful sunset. The artist has signed the painting bottom right. A remarkable and fabulous painting that would grace any wall in your home. Quality Provenance written verso it was sold at Christie’s, Knightsbridge, London, Lot 152 on the 8th October 1982. It carries the famous Christie’s stencil on the stretcher CZ679.
