Artist’s Statement

This piece reflects on protection, absence and the subtle poetry of displacement. I was interested in creating a space where familiar objects lose their conventional function and become symbols open to interpretation. The umbrellas cease to shield and instead hover as quiet witnesses, marking an internal landscape rather than a physical one.
The empty path represents a passage that belongs to no one and to everyone. It speaks of choice, memory and the gentle weight of decisions left unmade. The viewer is invited to enter this suspended terrain, where meaning emerges not through action, but through attention.
