DESCRIPTION
A fine mid-century Scandinavian enamel brooch by David-Andersen (Oslo, Norway),
one of the most recognised and collected Norwegian silversmiths.
This example is the desirable white daisy / marguerite design, featuring:
• Sterling silver 925S construction
• Guilloché pattern beneath enamel
• Hand-applied white enamel with defined relief
• Raised multi-layer petal form
Reverse is stamped:
“D-A Norway Sterling 925S”, confirming period production and silver content.
The brooch is accompanied by its original Norwegian retailer presentation box
from Gullsmed Refsmæs, Ålesund. This provides attractive provenance value for collectors.
Transparency notice:
The box is original but the rear hinge fabric is detached, meaning the lid does not stay fixed.
It remains suitable for presentation or storage, but condition is clearly disclosed.
