The vessel is wheel-thrown and decorated by hand with classic cobalt-blue brushwork on a grey stoneware body, showcasing the iconic style for which the Westerwald region is renowned.
The jug displays a beautiful age-appropriate patina, enhancing its historical character. It features a small chip, which—according to museum assessment—originated during the firing process and is therefore considered part of its original condition rather than later damage.
