Description from the seller
~ Richard Ginori Beautiful Antique Coffee Service for 12 ~ Antique coffee service by Richard Ginori for twelve people, Italy, circa 1930-1940 Description Manufacturer: Richard Ginori, Pattern: hand-painted concentric bands in red, blue, and gold with gilded handles Components: Coffee pot, sugar bowl with lid, milk jug, and 12 cups with matching saucers (total 27 pieces)
Brand 'RICHARD GINORI / 34-11' in green enamel underglaze. Conditions: Excellent, with slight gold wear on some handles consistent with age. History: Richard Ginori, founded in 1735 in Doccia near Florence, became the leading manufacturer of Italian porcelain, blending neoclassical and modernist design. In the 1930s, the company's production reflected Art Deco sensibilities: bold color contrasts, aerodynamic shapes, and luxurious gold accents. This 'Caffè' service exemplifies that transitional era, with striking geometric bands and elegant gilded handles. Ginori porcelain is a highly collectible item, especially pieces from the interwar period. Note: Services of this size and condition are increasingly rare. The balanced combination of colors—red, cobalt, and gold—reflects both Florentine craftsmanship and Italy's early 20th-century modernist taste.
