Very rare Val Saint Lambert paperweight in uranium crystal – Art Deco, circa 1930

Unique and very rare paperweights made by Val Saint Lambert in the 1930s.
This piece is made from mouth-blown uranium crystal, which fluoresces beautifully under UV light.
The object was then hand-polished around with a unique Art Deco pattern and bears the classic Val Saint Lambert star at the bottom. The hollow bottom is characteristic of the house.

Pieces in uranium crystal are very rare, partly because they were only produced until the 1940s. Uranium glass is highly sought after by collectors due to its rarity and unique appearance.
