Brand EverSharp, model Eversharp Skyline, plastic body and cap with a gold-plated ring, 130 mm long and 11.3 mm in diameter, Vacumatic filling system, made in the United States in the mid-20th century, in good used condition.
Description from the seller
The Parker Skyline fountain pen is presented in good overall condition, considering its vintage character and original production from the 1940s. It is an authentic and honest piece, with signs of use consistent with its age and perfectly suitable for a professional sale.
The body and cap, made of resin in burgundy/dark brown color, retain their shape and structure correctly. They show superficial marks, micro-scratches, and slight signs of use, visible under close observation, typical of the passage of time. No structural cracks or breaks are evident, maintaining solid integrity and an overall attractive appearance for a fountain pen of this era.
The upper ring of the cap, gold-plated and engraved with 'Parker Skyline,' shows visible wear of the plating, especially on edges and areas of contact, with the inscription still legible. The clip remains firmly attached and properly aligned, with wear consistent with age, without deformations.
The solid 14-karat gold nib, engraved 'PARKER 14K USA', is original to the model. It shows visible wear on the surface and a patina typical of use, with no cracks or structural fractures. The hoods retain their functional alignment, making it a writing nib with the firm character typical of the Skyline.
The Vacumatic charging system corresponds to the original of the model. Its operation has not been recently tested with ink, so a review or maintenance before regular use is recommended, which is common and expected in vintage pens from this period.
Overall, this is an authentic Parker Skyline, well preserved for its age, ideal for collectors, lovers of classic writing, or users who value the historical design and charm of an American fountain pen from the 1940s.
It will be sent in a courtesy box for its proper preservation.
