Its length is 19 cm or up to 21,5 cm with the extension. The original was a gift from Janet Auchincloss, Jackie's mother, in the year 1963. It was designed by Elsa Schiaparelli in the 1920s in Paris. It was costume jewelry. Elsa Schiaparelli (Rome, September 10, 1890 - Paris, November 13, 1973) was one of the most important fashion designers of the twenties and thirties, after Coco Chanel.
