Paolo Contin, Fumo di Londra, an original acrylic on canvas (60 x 60 cm, 60 x 60 x 4 cm) signed by hand in 2025, framed and sold directly by the artist, in excellent condition.
Description from the seller
Paolo Contin
London Smoke
Acrylic on canvas - hand-signed - 2025
Original painting sold by the artist, 60 x 60 x 4 cm.
Certificate of authenticity with handwritten signature, year, and technique on the back of the painting.
Please note that shipping costs are higher compared to a painting without a frame that is shipped in a tube, but the artwork is ready to be hung on the wall, so there are no additional costs for the buyer. There is definitely a saving of about 50/100 euros on the framing and another 100/150 euros on the frame.
The artist creates their own works away from schools and trends.
In his works, there is a desire to reach towards infinity and the super-sensible.
In this painting, ethereal materiality makes the contrast between the black color and the white color softened by some light gray strokes coherent, highlighting the difference between dark and light. When mixed together, they evoke 'Fumo di Londra,' a tone often sought after in fashion.
The work was photographed with different light points to examine and better understand the painting.
Paolo Contin has enjoyed a long artistic career. He trained in the world of design and has worked in fashion and art since 1980. He began exhibiting his work in 1999; his first solo exhibition was held in Padua in 2002, followed by numerous shows in Italy and abroad, including Copenhagen, Munich, Paris, Brussels, Istanbul, Buenos Aires, and Sydney.
