Antique quired pièdestal plant stand from France, dating to circa 1910–1920, in Art Nouveau style, made of solid oak with a warm brown patina, measurements 110 cm high, 37.5 cm wide, 35.5 cm deep, weight about 3 kg, in good condition with minor signs of age and small stains.
Description from the seller
Elegant antique plant table / pedestal from the early 20th century, originating from France. This refined piece of furniture dates from around 1910–1920 and is executed in the Art Nouveau style, recognizable by its flowing lines and graceful shapes.
The table is made from solid oak wood and finished in a warm brown wood tone with a beautiful, natural patina that emphasizes its age and authenticity. The top is supported by gracefully curved, supporting legs, giving the furniture an elegant and light appearance. At the bottom, there is a second surface, which provides extra stability and also offers space for decorative presentation.
Two corners of the top panel are missing a small piece of wood, and one of the curved legs has been glued and repaired in the past (see photos). These signs of use are consistent with the age of the furniture and do not detract from its charm, stability, or decorative value.
This pedestal is ideally suited as a plant stand but can also serve beautifully as a side table or plinth for a sculpture, vase, or art object. Its slim shape and elegant appearance allow it to fit seamlessly into both classic interiors and eclectic or modern settings.
A charming and authentic French piece of furniture that effortlessly adds character to the interior with its refined lines and warm patina.
