Ingeborg Andreasen-Lindborg, a Danish-Swedish visual artist born in Denmark in 1875, died in Stockholm in 1950.
She studied art at the Art Institute of Chicago from 1896 to 1897 and at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen from 1900 to 1907, where she was the first woman to receive a gold medal in 1906.
She moved to Stockholm in 1908 and studied with Axel Tallberg at the engraving school of the Royal Swedish Academy of Fine Arts in 1909. Together with her husband, she exhibited at Salong Joel in Stockholm and participated in exhibitions of the Grafiska sällskapet, at the spring exhibitions of the Charlottenborg Palace in Copenhagen, and at the exhibitions of the Chicago Society of Etchers in Chicago.
His art consists of portraits, animals, still lifes, and landscapes in oil, watercolor, pencil, and etching. In 1918, he began painting miniatures on ivory, depicting, among other things, Princess Astrid.
Was a member of the women's association Nya Idun.
His works are part of the collections at the British Museum, the National Museum of Stockholm, the National Gallery of Denmark, the Royal Library of Denmark, and the Smithsonian American Art Museum.
