This book is the result of the encounter between a small village of eight hundred inhabitants, a medieval and lively town in central France, on the border of Berry and Limousin, and one of the greatest contemporary photographers, Willy Ronis.
Tireless, sometimes climbing onto a workbench, onto the platform of a truck, or being lifted by a crane above the rooftops, Willy Ronis pursued chance to the point of making it disappear.
In the continuous and familiar flow of village life, he has subtly and intelligently intertwined himself to show what we fail to see in ourselves by revealing the existence and meaning of ordinary situations.
