Speedy Graphito was a forerunner artist, known as one of the pioneers of the French ‘Street Art’ (urban contemporary art) movement. He is now internationally famous as one of the major artists of his generation.

Since the early 80s, just after the free-figuration movement, the collective memory and walls of Paris were permeated with the colouring and snappy graphics of Speedy Graphito’s ‘Style Graphito’.

Prolific and inventive, SG uses all media (painting, sculpture, installation, photo or video) to create a universal language that transcends his work and time.

Developed in themes, exhibitions follow one another always unveiling new and surprising universes. Continuously evolving and reinventing himself, his trademark is a deep and joyful art in often vivid colours, that shakes our perceptions in a playful and ironic way.

Speedy Graphito made himself known alongside major artists such as Banksy, Jonone, Kaws, Space Invader, Shepard Fairey (Obey), Brainwash, Vhils, Thoma Vuille (M;Chat), Os Gemenos, Nick Walker and many others.
