Born in 1955, Futura 2000 is an American artist. He lives and works in New York.
Futura 2000 marked the history of American graffiti in the 80s. He offers an alternative to classic lettering work with the creation of abstract works. He is also one of the first artists to start working in studio, nevertheless never giving up the street.

Futura 2000 is a member of the United Graffiti Artists and is interested in the evolution of Hip Hop music. In 1981 he also participates in the tour of the band The Clash during which he created new works. Lately, he collaborates to the Lasco project, which aims to create a dialogue between established street artists and a new generation of artists who wish to enter Street Art in Art History.
