Cheyco Leidmann. “Silicon”
An excellent copy of an extremely rare book from 1992 published by Otobus Creative Medium. 
Signed by artist Cheyco Leidmann on the last page.
Hardcover, large size of 33x28 cm, with dust jacket, mint. This book was sealed in plastic wrap (see photos), it is brand new and in perfect condition, I opened it to take pictures of this lovely copy.
Note: there are about 10 pages where there is a minute flaw, the edges of some pages were stuck together as the book was sealed since 1992. There are therefore some very light marks on the bottom of the white part (see details on the photos), but there are none on the photographs inside of the book. This book is therefore in very very good condition.

Cheyco Leidmann's images established a new visual style in the 1980s. 
His artistic vision has influenced the world of photography. He has influenced filmmakers, creative directors, fashion designers, musicians and a generation of photographers with his hyper-realistic colours, their recklessness and provocation. He continues to inspire them today.
His work has earned him several prestigious awards for his images, including the New York Creative Directors Club Gold Award.
At the time, the hyper-realistic colours of his American landscapes, the neon signs, the swimming pools, the secluded beaches and others stimulated the imagination of many artists, musicians and photographers.

Cheyco Leidmann lives and works both in the United States and in France with his creative collaborator Ypsitylla von Nazareth. 
In his works, he stages an erotic and burlesque universe: his theatre takes fantastic and surrealist paths in which the spectator is invited to enter with humour.

This artist is present in many museums around the world, his books are collected.
 This book is a wonderful item for collectors passionate about photographers like Ren Hang, Guy Bourdin, Ellen Von Unwerth, David La Chapelle, Dominique Altério, Irina Ionesco, Sassen or painters like David Hockney, Keith Haring, Andy Warhol or Pop Art.
