Original pen and ink strip No 2812 ‘Carol Day’ by David Wright (1912-1967). This strip is very stylish and beautifully executed. Carol and Gordon have an air of timeless elegance and beauty whilst discussing the sale of the classic Duesenberg car over dinner.

All original titles and speech bubbles are still secure.

There is an original sticker on the reverse.

Carol Day was a strip that appeared in the Daily Mail 1956 onward, and was syndicated to many other papers and in other languages. 

The shading for the details in dots is achieved by adhering letraset ‘letratone’ over the original ink.

David Wright became famous in Britain during the 1940s and 1950s as a pin-up artist working for ‘The Sketch’, and went on to create Carol Day for many years.
