A stunning and heavy French Art Deco Vase created around 1940 by Pierre d’ Avesn. 

This transparent but very massive glass vase is designed with deeply recessed slots and strongly pronounced ribs, which catch the light in a most wonderful way! This very modern ribbed decoration was very avant garde for the 1940's!

Pierre d’Avesn was a renown French glassmaker which captured like no one else the essence of Art Deco in glass and has worked for many of the great French glass makers of the period, including Lalique and François Décorchemont.

The vase is in a beautiful original condition without chips, cracks or restorations. The vase is clearly signed "P D'AVESN" & "MADE IN FRANCE" and measures 18 cm.

The item will be carefully packed and will be send with the utmost care by track and trace.
