Information: In the winter of 1935, Maurice Utrillo made a short trip to Normandy, where he painted several villages he passed through. The village of Gallardon and its majestic church, sublime in the snow, particularly inspired him. To capture the full extent and character of the small village square, which surely reminded him of Montmartre, he painted this watercolour, one of the largest of his entire career.
In excellent condition, light flaw on the frame.
