About the Artwork:
This vibrant pop art triptych features an iconic and globally recognized toy figure, re-interpreted in a bold and minimalist graphic style. Each panel explores a different colour composition, creating a rhythmic sequence when displayed side by side. All colour fields are hand-mixed — no paint was used straight from the tube — ensuring a distinct chromatic identity for each canvas. The contour is intentionally applied with a slight “mis-registration” effect, creating a subtle offset between the outline and the colour blocks — reminiscent of classic screen-printed pop art. The outline of the figure is applied with a special acrylic squeezer marker, resulting in a striking, high-contrast contour while still preserving the tactile qualities of a hand-made painting.

This work sits at the intersection of nostalgia and contemporary pop culture, bringing a familiar subject into a gallery-ready fine art context.
