Bayern Munich home shirt by adidas from the classic Commodore era, dated between 1984 and 1989 according to Football Kit Archive records, a period that saw Die Roten defend their Bundesliga title and reach the 1987 European Cup final against Porto

Store shirt, no name or number on the back

Chest (pit to pit): approximately 41cm
Full length: approximately 65cm
Size: approximately S to M (based on measurements rather than the tag alone)

This is one of the most recognisable Bayern designs of the eighties, built by adidas with the tonal red horizontal stripes running across the body and the classic three white stripes crossing the shoulders in the brand's signature style of that decade. The adidas trefoil sits proudly on the chest, a detail collectors always look for when authenticating shirts from this golden vintage window. It comes from the mid to late eighties, a period widely regarded as one of the most stylish in football shirt history thanks to the simplicity of the cuts and the boldness of the club crests and manufacturer branding of the time. Bayern were at the peak of their domestic dominance in these years while also pushing hard on the European stage, making shirts from this run genuinely sought after among vintage football collectors today. The long sleeve construction and heavier vintage cotton blend give it an authentic feel that modern reproductions simply cannot match, and the scarcity of surviving pieces from this exact era on the European resale market only adds to its desirability.
