A bronze patinated spelter clock titled "Lutte Prehistorique (Prehistoric Struggle)" by Emile Louis Picault. Likely cast in the late 19th century . Depicting a standing figure battling a bird of prey. Dial offers Arabic numerals, 2 key wind. Presented atop a metal base.

The sculpture is in very good condition with some small traces of aging. The clock is in working condition after checking, but it stops in a while later, so a repair or check is needed, no warranty for the proper work of the movement.

Emile Louis PICAULT (1833-1915) is a French sculptor known for his allegories accompanied by Latin or French phrases. He was a regular figure at the Salon from 1863. He received an honorable mention in 1883. His abundant work is available in bronze editions for individuals. Some of his sculptures can be found at the Fine Arts museums of Chambéry and Troyes.
