Ever since she can remember, photographer Judith Minks has been fascinated by freckles. She has also always sought order. Two contradicting themes in her life and who knows, perhaps the random plotting of freckles triggered her need for order. – Her fascination for freckles led to the start of a project in 2017 where she portrayed people with freckles from all parts of the Netherlands using the ‘beautiful northern light’ and a simple studio set-up.
