Lot with 4 issues of 'De 8 en Opbouw 14-Daagsch tijdschrift van de architectengroep ,,De 8" Amsterdam en ,,Opbouw" Rotterdam' - Each issue c. 14 and 25 pp. - Softcover, stapled - 29 x 22 cm.
From year 9, issue:
- Nr. 4 - 26 februari 1938
- Nr. 7 - 9 april 1938
- Nr. 10- 21 mei 1938
- Nr. 12/13 - 25 juni 1938
¶ The latter number, a 'double-issue', entirely devoted to the designs and interiors for large passenger ships
Condition: All issues good to very good, except for issue 7, which has slight foxing and wear on cover

¶ 'De 8 en Opbouw' was the most significant avant-garde periodical of united Dutch architects from the major cities Amsterdam and Rotterdam in the 1930's. 'De 8' was the mouthpiece for the New Objectivity movement in architecture. It focussed on architecture, interior design, various applied arts, criticism and other related subjects. Collaborators were, a.o.: Paul Schuitema, who also designed many of the striking covers and lay-outs for many of the issues, the photographer and designer Piet Zwart, as well as many other architects and designers of iconic buildings and designs of the pre-war era
