Full Description

Iconic look based on a classic
This model is a modern recreation of the original Red Special guitar, which was built by Brian May and his father. The solid body of the original was made from both oak and mahogany taken from the now-legendary fireplace mantel in Brian’s family home in the mid-1960s. Inspired by this iconic instrument, the Mini May is ideal for traveling musicians with limited space or luggage. It is also perfectly suited for younger or smaller players.

Powerful pickup
In addition to its naturally resonant tone, the Mini May is equipped with a single Tri-Sonic style pickup, a modern replica of the Burns Tri-Sonics that Brian installed in the original Red Special. These enhanced replicas not only faithfully reproduce the originals but also feature higher impedance, producing a powerful sonic character that cuts through any mix.

Stylish appearance
This stunning guitar is finished in a metallic Antique Cherry finish, complemented by ABS cream pinstripe binding.
