Offered without reserve price: 1925 Indian Scout formerly owned by the famous Mille Miglia racing driver Carlo Leto di Priolo and displayed at the Umberto Panini Museum. GENERAL: The Indian Scout is one of the most significant and desirable American motorcycles of the interwar era. The Scout was technically advanced for its time and became known for its robust engineering great road holding and balanced performance. This example benefits from it's unique and distinguished Italian provenance. MECHANICAL: The Scout features a 600cc side-valve V-twin, a three-speed gearbox, and a geared primary drive. The model’s design was notably sophisticated for the 1920s, with features such as its distinctive suspension layout and highly durable drivetrain concept, leading to the famous slogan: "You never wear out an Indian Scout!"
