Schotel (2) - Glas - Transparante compotiers

Lot van twee prachtige voet-[kom]-achtige bonbonnières van helder pressglas, onduidelijke Belgische herkomst, stijl jaren 1950-1960 (typische Belgische techniek: glas geperst in een vorm voor de algemene vorm, vervolgens handgeslepen voor de dichte diamant- en stralende motieven, geen merkteken of handtekening).

Elegante en imposante stukken, ruim gevormd met een brede, uitlopende geornamenteerde rand (golvende rand met meerdere lobben), conische uitlopende voet gevormd en geslepen. Beiden hebben een centraal stralend zonneschijf / sterrozetmotief aan de onderzijde van de kom, en een diepe diamanten/lozenge-snijden die het gehele oppervlak bedekt voor een uitzonderlijk multifatetachtig fonkelen.

Bovenste kom (dieper):

Beide stukken hebben precies hetzelfde gewicht ondanks het verschil in diepte en uitmonding van de kom (de onderste is breder maar platter, wat het massabalans). Hoogwaardig helder pressglas, intensiteit van glans, wisselende reflecties en regelmatige en diepe bewerking.

Staat: goed tot zeer goed voor vintage stukken. Glans en helderheid onopgesmokt op beide. Alleen een kleine, zeer discreete glans op de voet van de uitbundigere variant. De rest is zonder splinters, chips, barsten of zichtbare breuk. Lichte gebruikssporen door de leeftijd (micro-scratchjes op de voet of randen, zonder esthetische impact).

Herkomst: privé Belgische collectie, exacte oorsprong onbekend.

Lot of two superb footed compote / bonbon dishes in clear pressed and hand-cut glass, unknown Belgian provenance, 1950s–1960s style (typical Belgian technique: pressed glass moulded for the general shape, then hand-cut for dense diamond and radiating motifs, unmarked and unsigned).

Elegant and imposing pieces, generous shape with wide flared scalloped bowl (multi-lobed wavy rim), conical flared foot moulded and cut. Both feature a central radiating sunburst / star rosette motif at the bowl base, and deep diamond/lozenge cutting covering the entire surface for an exceptional multi-faceted sparkling effect.

Upper compote (deeper bowl):

Both pieces have exactly the same weight despite the difference in bowl depth and flare (the lower one is wider but shallower, balancing the mass). High-quality clear pressed glass, intense brilliance, shifting reflections and regular deep cutting.

Condition: good to very good for vintage pieces. Brilliance and clarity fully intact on both. No visible chips, nicks, cracks or breaks. Light normal age-related wear (superficial micro-scratches on foot or edges, no aesthetic impact).
