Moulded Porcelain Dish with Precious Objects Decoration
China, Wanli to Tianqi period (circa 1610–1625)

A finely moulded porcelain dish, the centre decorated with a grouping of precious objects, including a fan, lingzhi fungus, and a ruyi-shaped knot, all rendered in a balanced and symbolic composition. The cavetto is elegantly moulded as chrysanthemum petals, creating a radiating floral effect that enhances the visual depth of the piece.

The decoration reflects the auspicious nature of the baibao (hundred treasures) motif, where objects such as the fan, ruyi, and lingzhi convey wishes for good fortune, longevity, and fulfilment of desires.

Reference:
According to Maura Rinaldi, Kraak Porcelain, this example corresponds to Border type 1B, dating it to approximately 1610–1625.

Condition: One hairline with small chip and typical rimfritting on the lobbed rim.

Please examine the images carefully. Small imperfections and kiln-related flaws are not always described in detail. The written condition report is indicative only; the photographs provide the definitive and binding description of the item’s condition.

Shipping method: The item is securely packed and shipped with insurance.
