“París en rosa” is a 100 × 70 cm painting by contemporary artist Ernest García.

The work presents a nocturnal view of Paris built through color. From an elevated terrace, a solitary figure contemplates the city as the illuminated Eiffel Tower emerges in the distance. The scene transforms one of the most recognizable urban landscapes into a moment intimate and silent.
The pink dominates the composition in different intensities: from the deep magenta of the sky to the coral tones and rosy powder of the façade. In front of this large warm surface, the blues and purples of the Parisian rooftops introduce depth, while the yellows of the Eiffel Tower and the lit windows act as small focal points of light.

The figure appears seated beside a terrace table, reduced almost to a dark silhouette. Its scale reinforces the vastness of the surroundings and directs the gaze toward the horizon. The table, the chairs, the railing and the windows add a daily dimension to the scene, as if the spectator were witnessing a private moment at the end of the day.

Visible brushwork, simplification of architecture and chromatic freedom introduce echoes of Fauvism. Ernest García moves away from the natural colors of the night to construct an emotional atmosphere through intense pinks, violets, blues and yellows. Color not only describes Paris, but completely determines the feeling of the scene.
