Soly Cissé - Le Monde Perdu VI

Omschrijving
Soly Cissé - Le Monde Perdu VI
potlood en houtskooltekening - Handgesigneerd - 2020

A major artist born in 1969, Soly Cissé graduated from the School of Fine Arts in Dakar. Present in all major contemporary art fairs and exhibitions for 15 years, including "Africa Remix" at Beaubourg and in London, he is a key player in contemporary art from Africa.

This drawing is part of the series “Le Monde Perdu” and testifies to his expressive and spontaneous style. Unfinished creatures, characters belonging to an unspecified (earlier, later?) stage of humanity. Children, animals, all are captured head-on, their faces half-drawn. Soly Cissé explores risky, uncharted territory. He is filled with a healthy anger, sure enough of his influences not to mention them.

Careful packaging, shipped within three days by DHL. Certificate of authenticity included.
