Beautiful antique wooden and metal camera / magic lantern projector Estimated period: late 19th – early 20th century Material: wood, brass, and metal A very nice example of an early camera or projection lantern. This type of device was used either as a magic lantern for projecting glass slides, or as an early photographic camera with plate holders. The construction features a black metal body, extendable bellows, and a brass slide holder. The original lens is missing. The aperture flap is still present. Condition: • Overall in fair antique condition • Signs of age and wear consistent with use • Lens is missing (front) • Mechanically complete otherwise, with a beautiful patina
